Corruption- a serious global problem

53% of the respondents in the Transparency internationals Global Corruption Barometer 2013 is of the opinion that corruption has increased or has increased a lot during the last 2 years. The Corruption Barometer covers 107 countries and 114 000 respondents. It is clearly stated in the report that corruption is a real burden that undermines democratic development and more than one out of four respondents in the report states that they have paid a bribe during the last year.
